Insurance, deposits and bonds

General tips. Ordinary house cleaning is rarely an insurance claim; end-of-tenancy and bond disputes follow tenancy rules.

Document

  • Photograph rooms before and after a deep or move-out clean if a deposit or bond is involved.
  • Keep the written scope and any checklist or condition report.
  • Keep receipts for the clean and any products you supplied.

Deposits and bonds

For bond cleans, agree the standard against the outgoing condition report. A cleaner documents the work; they do not decide your bond refund.
